Abstract:
This air conditioner is provided with an outdoor unit (90) having: a heat exchanger (3) which is raised on a base member so as to surround an inner space (50); and blowers (4) which are arranged on the heat exchanger (3). The heat exchanger (3) is formed by joining a pair of symmetrical hemispheres (30a, 30b). The hemispheres (30a, 30b) each have, in order in the circumferential direction about a blower (4), a first heat exchange section (3a), a second heat exchange section (3b), a third heat exchange section (3c), and a fourth heat exchange section (3d). An equipment containing box (33) is disposed in the inner space (50). Supports (22) for supporting the equipment containing box (33) are each provided between the equipment containing box (33) and an end of the first heat exchange section (3a), and the support (22) has a surface section (24) which, in a transverse cross-section, is formed so as to become gradually closer to the third heat exchange section (3c) as the surface section (24) extends from the end of the first heat exchange section (3a)toward the equipment containing box (33).
