Abstract:
This air conditioner is provided with: a switching valve provided between an expansion valve and an outdoor heat exchanger; and a bypass circuit of which a first end part is connected to refrigerant piping for connecting a compressor and an indoor heat exchanger, and a second end part is connected to the switching valve. During the heating operation, the air conditioner causes a rotating body of the switching valve to rotate, connects each of the flow paths of the outdoor heat exchanger, which are connected in parallel, to the bypass circuit in sequence, and defrosts the outdoor heat exchanger while carrying out the heating operation.
