Abstract:
According to the present invention, an indoor machine (1) is provided with an indoor machine control unit (13) that controls the indoor machine (1) and an outdoor machine (2) on the basis of an instruction signal received from a remote controller (3). The outdoor machine (2) is provided with: a switching unit (21) that switches on/off power supplied from a commercial AC power source (4) through a power supply line (6) to the outdoor machine (2); a compressor (25); and an outdoor machine control unit (23) that controls driving of the compressor (25) on the basis of the instruction signal. In a low standby power mode in which the switching unit (21) is in an off-state and the supply of power from the commercial AC power source (4) to the outdoor machine (2) is cut off, the indoor machine control unit (13) executes, when a first signal instructing to carry out a process not requiring driving of the outdoor machine (2) is received from the remote controller (3), a control to carry out the process instructed by a first signal without driving the outdoor machine (2).
