Abstract:
An air conditioner capable of simultaneous cooling and heating operations wherein some of a plurality of indoor units in rooms to be air-conditioned are operated in either a cooling operation mode or a heating operation mode while the other remaining indoor units are operated in a mode different to the operation mode performed by the previously-mentioned indoor units be it the cooling operation or the heating operation. This air conditioner is provided with indoor heat exchangers (41a to 41d), indoor fans (49a to 49d), a compressor (11), indoor expansion valves (42a to 42d), an outdoor heat exchanger (14), an outdoor fan (19), a four-way valve (13), an outdoor expansion valve (15), cooling/heating switching units (30a to 30d), and a calculation control device (28) that controls the rotational speed of the outdoor fan (19) according to the air-conditioning capacity of the indoor heat exchangers (41a to 41d). Thus, an air conditioner which is capable of stable simultaneous cooling and heating operations can be provided.
