Abstract:
An air conditioner provided with: an outdoor unit having at least a compressor, refrigerant channel switching device, heat source-side heat exchanger, and first throttle device as components; and an indoor unit having at least a load-side heat exchanger and a second throttle device as components, the components of the outdoor unit and the components of the indoor unit being connected by refrigerant piping to form a refrigerant circulation circuit, wherein the air conditioner is provided with: a first opening/closing device provided to the refrigerant piping between the first throttle device and the second throttle device; a second opening/closing device provided to the refrigerant piping between the refrigerant channel switching device and the load-side heat exchanger; and a control device for controlling the first throttle device and placing the refrigerant flowing in the refrigerant piping between the first throttle device and the second throttle device into a gas-liquid two-phase state when in a cooling operation mode. When refrigerant leakage has been sensed, the first opening/closing device and the second opening/closing device assume a closed state.
