Abstract:
This air conditioner that is mounted to a vehicle and that carries out air conditioning in a vehicle cabin is provided with: an air conditioning case (10); a fan (31); a motor (32); a cooling air passage (33); a first rib (11); and a second rib (12). The air conditioning case (10) has an air passage (13) through which flows outside air or inside air introduced from an outside air inlet (14) or from an inside air inlet. The fan (31) generates an air flow in the air conditioning case (10). The motor (32) rotates the fan (31). Air is supplied from an opening (20) provided to the air passage (13) to the motor (32) through the cooling air passage (33). The first rib (11) is provided to a site closer to the side of the outside air inlet in the air flowing direction than the opening (20) in an inner wall that forms the air passage (13). The second rib (12) is provided to a site closer to the side of the outside air inlet in the air flowing direction than the first rib (11) in the inner wall that forms the air passage, and forms, between the first rib (11) and the second rib (12), a stagnation space (22) in which the air flowing through the air passage (13) stagnates.
