Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an air conditioner that can prevent occurrences of malfunction caused by noise when optional parts cannot be mounted to the air conditioner main unit. [Solution] An air conditioner (1) comprises a control unit (8) to which an optional part (10) provided with a receiver (11) to receive a wireless signal (R) sent from a remote control device (6) used in the operation of an air conditioner main unit (2) and a switch (12) used in the operation of the air conditioner main unit (2) can be connected. The control unit (8) comprises: a first terminal (21) into which a signal from the receiver (11) is input; a second terminal (22) into which a signal from the switch (12) is input; and a processor (13) that invalidates the second terminal (22) input until the signal from the receiver (11) is input into the first terminal (21) and validates the second terminal (22) input after the signal from the receiver (11) is input into the first terminal (21).
