Abstract:
This air conditioner (100) is installed on a ceiling or an upper part of a side wall of a room, and is provided with: a housing (20) which has an upper surface (21) and a lower surface (22), has an intake port (22H) formed in the lower surface side, and has an opening (27) formed in the front surface side; an air filter (31) provided so as to cover the intake port (22H); an air purification filter (32) provided above the air filter; a blower (33); a heat exchanger (38); and an air flow direction adjustment unit (40) provided so as to cover the opening (27) from the front side. The blower (33) includes a plurality of multiblade centrifugal fans (35) which are coupled to a driving motor, and which are provided side by side in the horizontal direction so as to have the same axis as the driving motor. Accordingly, an air conditioner can be obtained which achieves a further reduction in size, and which performs air conditioning with reduced energy consumption while continuously purifying the air.
