Abstract:
This air conditioner has a refrigeration cycle in which an indoor unit (2) having an indoor unit heat exchanger and an indoor fan to blow indoor air to the indoor unit heat exchanger is connected to an outdoor unit having a compressor through refrigerant piping by which refrigerant is circulated, wherein the air conditioner takes in the indoor air and blows air-conditioned air that has exchanged heat with the indoor unit heat exchanger into a room. The air conditioner comprises: a child detection unit that detects a child in the room; an activity detection unit (23) that detects the activity status of a child in the room; and an air conditioning control unit (21) that can control the operation of the air conditioner using a child priority mode that adjusts conditions for the air conditioning operation of the air conditioner on the basis of the activity status of the child in the room detected by the activity detection unit (23) when the presence of a child has been detected by the child detection unit.
