Abstract:
This air conditioner is provided with: a compressor (114a) that compresses a refrigerant used in a refrigeration cycle; a converter (123) that generates a DC voltage; an inverter (126) that generates a three-phase AC voltage from the DC voltage; an electric motor (111) that generates a driving force for driving the compressor (114a), by using a plurality of coils to which the three-phase AC voltage is applied; a connection switching unit (128) that switches the connection state of the coils; and an outdoor control device (135) that controls the connection switching unit (128), wherein the outdoor control device (135) limits switching of the connection state when the number of times the connection state has been switched exceeds a threshold value thereof.
