Abstract:
An air conditioner according to an aspect of the present invention comprises: a sliding door, which forms an exterior of a front surface part thereof and moves in a lateral direction to be opened and closed; a sliding door motor for providing power to the sliding door; a sliding door position sensor including a first position sensor and a second position sensor for detecting the position of the sliding door; and a control part for controlling an opening/closing operation of the sliding door on the basis of sensing data of the sliding door position sensor and a rotational speed of the sliding door motor. Thus, the present invention can prevent a safety accident.
