Abstract:
Provided is an air conditioner capable of reducing power consumption required to regenerate a moisture absorbent. This air conditioner is provided with: a moisture absorption unit which causes a liquid hygroscopic material containing a hygroscopic substance to absorb at least part of moisture contained in air by bringing the liquid hygroscopic material and the air into contact with each other; an atomization and regeneration unit which atomizes at least part of moisture contained in the liquid hygroscopic material supplied from the moisture absorption unit via a first liquid hygroscopic material transportation flow path to generate misty droplets, regenerates the liquid hygroscopic material by removing at least some of the misty droplets from the liquid hygroscopic material, and supplies the liquid hygroscopic material to the moisture absorption unit; a circulation flow path through which air containing the misty droplets generated by the atomization and regeneration unit is sent out from the atomization and regeneration unit and air from which at least some of the misty droplets have been removed is returned to the atomization and regeneration unit; and a misty droplet collection unit which is provided in the circulation flow path, and collects at least some of the misty droplets from the air containing the misty droplets.
