The present invention relates to an air conditioner, and the air conditioner according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a case forming the outer appearance; a panel in which an air inlet port is formed and which is arranged on one side of the case; and an electric dust collecting device that captures foreign substances introduced through the air inlet port, wherein the electric dust collecting device comprises: a discharge electrode which extends toward the air inlet port and charges particles contained in the air introduced through the air inlet port; a high-voltage applying device which is electrically connected to the discharge electrode such that the high voltage is applied to the discharge electrode; and an electrode holder which supports the discharge electrode such that an angle between the direction in which the discharge electrode extends and the direction in which the air introduced through the air inlet port flows can be changed, and thus, the angle formed by the discharge electrode and the flowing direction is adjusted. Accordingly, there is an effect of adjusting distribution of the ionic field.
