Abstract:
This air conditioner comprises a blower, a heat exchanger which includes a heat exchanger core configured from a plurality of fins arranged spaced apart from one another in a first direction, and a plurality of heat transfer pipes arranged spaced apart from one another in a second direction intersecting the first direction, air being caused to pass between the fins by driving the blower, a housing which is provided with an air intake port and blowout port, internally accommodates the blower and the heat exchanger, and has an internal space that is demarcated into a primary-side space and a secondary-side space with the heat exchanger as a boundary, a drain pan which is disposed below the heat exchanger to accept condensed water generated by the heat exchanger, and a sub-drain pan which is disposed between the heat exchanger and the drain pan to guide the condensed water generated from the heat exchanger and cleaning water that has cleaned the heat exchanger to the drain pan, wherein: the sub-drain pan extends from a secondary-side lower portion, which is a lower portion of the heat exchanger core on the secondary-side space side, to a core lower portion, which is a bottom portion of the heat exchanger core; the sub-drain pan has a water accepting surface portion disposed facing the core lower portion of the heat exchanger; a first space is formed between the core lower portion of the heat exchanger and the water accepting surface portion of the sub-drain pan; a second space is formed between the secondary-side lower portion of the heat exchanger and the sub-drain pan; the first space includes a primary-side opening portion disposed on the primary-side space side, and a secondary-side opening portion disposed on the secondary-side space side; and the secondary-side opening portion of the first space communicates with the second space.
