Title:
AIR-CONDITIONING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/053872
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an air-conditioning apparatus that prevents freezing and decline in cooling performance of an indoor unit while rectifying an imbalance, if any, in the amounts of liquid refrigerant among a plurality of heat source machines. This air-conditioning apparatus is provided with: a plurality of heat source machines; a plurality of indoor units which have indoor heat exchangers and which perform cooling operations or heating operations; a relay machine which is connected to the heat source machines via a high-pressure pipe and a low-pressure pipe and which distributes a refrigerant flowing in from the heat source machines to the plurality of indoor units; and a control device which controls the operation of the heat source machines. For a heating-dominant operation, in which some of the plurality of indoor units perform cooling operations while the rest of the indoor units perform heating operations, the relay machine is provided with: a gas-liquid separator for separating the refrigerant supplied from the high-pressure pipe into a gas refrigerant and a liquid refrigerant; a gas pipe for supplying the gas refrigerant coming out of the gas-liquid separator to the indoor units that are to perform heating operations; a liquid pipe for supplying the liquid refrigerant from the gas-liquid separator to the indoor units that are to perform cooling operations; a bypass pipe which branches off from the liquid pipe and which is connected to the low-pressure pipe; a bypass flow rate regulation valve for regulating the flow rate of the refrigerant flowing through the bypass pipe; and a relay machine temperature detection means for detecting the temperature of the refrigerant flowing to the bypass pipe. The control device changes a degree of opening of an outdoor-side throttle device on the basis of a temperature detected by the relay machine temperature detection means.
