Abstract:
This air-conditioning apparatus is provided with: a compressor; an indoor heat exchanger that functions as a condenser at the time of heating operation; an outdoor heat exchanger that functions as an evaporator at the time of heating operation; an upstream-side expansion valve disposed between the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor heat exchanger; a plurality of downstream-side expansion valves arranged on the downstream side of the upstream-side expansion valve at the time of heating operation; an outdoor heat exchanger intermediate temperature sensor that detects evaporation temperature of the outdoor heat exchanger at the time of heating operation; and a control device that controls the plurality of downstream-side expansion valves such that the evaporation temperature gets close to a target evaporation temperature. The plurality of downstream-side expansion valves include a first downstream-side expansion valve and a second downstream-side expansion valve arranged in parallel with each other. The control device controls the first downstream-side expansion valve such that the evaporation temperature gets close to the target evaporation temperature, and controls the second downstream-side expansion valve in an opening direction thereof when the first downstream-side expansion valve reaches the maximum opening.
