Abstract:

An air conditioning device for a vehicle, the device being configured in such a manner that, when heating the vehicle interior using the engine coolant in the initial stage after the start of the engine when the outdoor air temperature is low, the air conditioning device can quickly raise the temperature of the engine coolant using a simple structure. An air conditioning device for a vehicle, the device having the following elements integrally connected together: a first water heat exchanger (26) provided in the middle of the flow path in which an engine coolant is caused to flow from the water jacket of an engine (3) to a heater core (8a), a second water heat exchanger (27) provided in the middle of the flow path in which the engine coolant is caused to flow from the heater core (8a) to the water jacket of the engine (3), and a first external heat exchanger (18) for refrigerant condensation, said first external heat exchanger (18) being provided between the first and second water heat exchangers (26, 27). In the initial stage after the start of the engine when the outdoor air temperature is low, the temperature of the engine coolant flowing from the water jacket to the heater core (8a) is raised quickly by heating the engine coolant using heat which is dissipated from the first external heat exchanger (18).
