Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to prevent erroneous determination of the presence of a person in a room. This air conditioner (20) temporarily halts air conditioning operations when no person is present in a room (10). If at least one presence sensor (50) of indoor units (40) begins to detect the presence of a person while the air conditioning operation is temporarily halted, an indoor unit controlling unit (45) of an indoor unit (40a) finds the accumulated detection time by adding the duration of time that the presence of a person is detected for each of the presence sensors (50). If any of the accumulated detection times for the presence sensors (50) reaches a reference value (T2) before a prescribed time (T3) passes, an outdoor unit controlling unit (37) restarts air conditioning operations.
