Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an air conditioning unit for a vehicle, which is configured so that, in a bi-level mode, a part of warm air flowing through an upper air passage is conducted to a foot discharge opening open to a lower air passage, and in a defrosting mode, an increase in air flow resistance is suppressed during the conduction of the warm air, which flows through the upper air passage, to a defrosting discharge opening open to the upper air passage. [Solution] A vent opening/closing door 17 has an air flow resistance regulation section 173 in addition to a closing section 172. In a bi-level mode, the air flow resistance regulation section 173 is located at a position where the air flow resistance regulation section 173 reduces the air flow area of the air passage between a space 31a downstream of a heating heat exchanger 6 in an upper air passage 31 and a vent discharge opening 11 to a value less than that of the air flow area in another discharge mode, and in a defrosting mode, the air flow resistance regulation section 173 is located at a position where the air flow resistance regulation section 173 does not reduce the air flow area of the air passage between the space 31a downstream of the heating heat exchanger 6 in the upper air passage 173 and a defrosting discharge opening 10 to a value less than that of the air flow area in the other discharge mode.
