Abstract:
The battery module according to the present invention comprises: cylindrical battery cells, of which top caps face upward and which are arranged in the horizontal and longitudinal directions; a module case provided to accommodate the cylindrical battery cells; and cooling caps which are installed on the lower end portions of respective cylindrical battery cells, wherein the cooling caps protrude downward from the lower end of the module case to come into contact with cooling air under the module case, and may protrude to different heights according to sections that are preset according to positions of the cylindrical battery cells arranged in the module case.
