Abstract:
The present invention relates to an air sterilizing/purifying device for sensing a photocatalyst, which induces wideband photoactivation, and the intensity/degree of photoenergy emitted to the photocatalyst, thereby providing an appropriate time to manage sterilizing lamps and an appropriate time to replace the same. Near a location of primary inflow of contaminated air, a first photocatalyst filter module and a primary luminance sensor are arranged, and a second photocatalyst filter module and a secondary luminance sensor are arranged. The first photocatalyst filter module comprises a primary sterilizing lamp and a ceramic bead-type photocatalyst combined into a single module. The primary luminance sensor is installed between the primary sterilizing lamp and the ceramic bead photocatalyst so as to sense/control the amount of light emitted from the sterilizing lamp. The second photocatalyst filter module comprises a secondary sterilizing lamp and a lattice-type medium photocatalyst filter combined into a single module. The secondary luminance sensor is installed between the secondary sterilizing lamp and the lattice-type medium photocatalyst filter so as to sense/control the amount of light emitted from the sterilizing lamp. Accordingly, appropriate intensity of photoenergy is sensed and controlled so as to prevent degradation of photoactivity of the first photocatalyst filter and the second photocatalyst filter, thereby improving the purification performance, and an appropriate time to manage the sterilizing lamps and an appropriate time to replace the same are provided. The two-stage configuration of the first and second photocatalyst filter modules effectively improves the sterilizing/purifying performance and, even if one thereof fails to exhibit normal performance, prevents abrupt degradation of the sterilizing/purifying performance. A control technology is applied such that, when clogging of a photocatalyst filter by suspended microdust increases the ventilation pressure and degrades the amount of wind, the fan rotation number is varied according to the ventilation pressure. Accordingly, when the ventilation pressure rises, the fan rotation number is increased to maintain the appropriate amount of wind and, when the fan rotation number increases and exceeds a predetermined number, the fan operation is stopped, thereby providing a function of sensing and controlling the time to replace the photocatalyst filters.
