Abstract:
Provided are: a screw conveyor capable of avoiding device malfunctions caused by objects to be removed, and of separating the objects to be removed; and a filter device using an air-driven pump using the screw conveyor and an air-driven pump using air, not power, as a power source. This screw conveyor has: a conveyance path, having provided in the lower section thereof a mesh-like dewatering means that leaves behind the objects to be removed from a coolant (liquid to be treated), said coolant having machining debris, sludge, and other objects to be removed mixed therein; and a screw rotatably arranged inside the conveyance path, that conveys the objects to be removed inside the liquid to be treated, from one side to another side, using spiral blades. The screw is characterized by protruding further in the radial direction than the blades and by having a blockage prevention means that eliminates clogging up of the dewatering means.
