Abstract:
Disclosed is an air electrode having large discharge capacity per unit area. Specifically disclosed is an air electrode used for non-aqueous air batteries, which is characterized by comprising an air electrode collector having a porous structure and an air electrode layer formed on the air electrode collector and containing a conductive material. The air electrode is also characterized in that the average load amount of the conductive material in a flat area of the air electrode is within the range of from 0.3 mg/cm2 to 9.0 mg/cm2.
