An air filtration apparatus, comprising a first electrode plate (1) and a second electrode plate (2) distributed side by side, a corrugated filter (3) provided on the side of the second electrode plate (2) facing the first electrode plate (1), and activated carbon particles (4) filled in an area constituted by the filter (3) and the second electrode plate (2); also comprising a power supply used for electrically charging the first electrode plate (1) and a blowing apparatus (5) arranged at the side of the first electrode plate (1) facing away from the second electrode plate (2). Air is made to flow by the blowing apparatus (5) from the first electrode plate (1) to the second electrode plate (2), dust particles in the air are electrically charged on the first electrode plate (1) and are adsorbed on the filter (3), the electric charge is transferred via the activated carbon particles (4) to the second electrode plate (2) and discharged so as to prevent electric charge accumulation. In addition, the activated carbon particles (4) are capable of adsorbing water vapor in the air, thus preventing air humidity from affecting adsorption and, at the same time, effecting balanced air resistance.
