Abstract:
Provided is an air flow evaluation device to be positioned on a rack on which one or more information communication devices are mounted, said air flow evaluation device comprising: temperature measurement units which measure the temperature at a plurality of sites respectively at an air intake side and an air exhaust side of the rack; a device power consumption measurement unit which measures the power consumption of each of the information communication devices mounted on the rack; a device cooling air flow quantity measurement unit which measures a cooling air flow quantity for each of the information communication devices; and an air flow state evaluation unit which computes, as an air flow state, the ratio between the actual temperature increase quantity of the air flow passing through the rack and a temperature increase quantity in an ideal state in which all of the air flow passing through the rack contributes to cooling the information communication devices, said computation being carried out on the basis of the temperatures measured by the temperature measurement units, the power consumptions measured by the device power consumption measurement unit, and the cooling air flow quantities measured by the device cooling air flow quantity measurement unit.
