Abstract:

An intercooler receiving section (6) in which an intercooler (5) is received is set so that a predetermined gap is provided between the intercooler receiving section (6) and the intercooler (5). A rib (11) is formed on the inner wall surface of a wall (10a) so as not to interfere with the intercooler (5), the wall (10a) constituting the intercooler receiving section (6). As a result of this configuration, the rigidity of the portion of the wall (10a) where the root of the rib (11) is located is relatively high, and a variation in the amount of deformation of the rib (11) and a variation in the amount of deformation of the portion of the wall (10a) where the root of the rib (11) is located are relatively small in comparison to cases where the rib (11) is not formed. Accordingly, the gap between the intercooler (5) and the intercooler receiving section (6) can be generally reduced to reduce the amount of intake air flowing downward bypassing the intercooler (5), thereby preventing a reduction in the efficiency of cooling of intake air by the intercooler (5).
