An air intake structure, wherein an air intake path extending from the front end of a vehicle (1) to an air cleaner box (10) is branched in the middle to reduce direct mixing of foreign matter into the air cleaner box (10) and also to reduce an occurrence of air intake noise.  The upper surface (10a) of the air cleaner box (10) is tilted forward so as to face in a substantially parallel manner the inner surface of a forwardly tilted engine hood (7).  An air guide (12) having an air intake opening in the front end of the vehicle (1) has a discharge opening provided on the front side of the upper surface (10a) of the air cleaner box (10).  The forwardly tilted upper surface (10a) of the air cleaner box (10) and a forwardly tilted hood inner section (7a) of the engine hood (7) are adapted to face parallel to each other with a predetermined space (13) therebetween.  The vertical size of the space (13) is substantially the same as the vertical size of the discharge opening in the air guide (12).  Outside air having a relatively low temperature and into which the entry of foreign matter is prevented as far as possible is efficiently supplied to the engine (3).
