Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: an air-liquid separation device capable of efficiently separating liquid and air while a reduction in a swirl speed within a cyclone is suppressed; and an air purifier having the air-liquid separation device applied thereto.
An air-liquid separation device 40 is configured such that: air A2 containing at least liquid is introduced into a casing 42, the casing 42 being provided with an introduction flow passage 40b in communication with an inlet section 41, the casing 42 being also provided with a discharge section 44 extended downward to the outside of the introduction flow passage 40b, the casing 42 being further provided with an outlet section 43 extended upward to the outside of the introduction flow passage 40b; the air A2 is swirled along an outer wall 42a constituting the casing 42, thereby being separated into liquid 32e and treated air A3; the liquid 32e is discharged from the discharge section 44; and the treated air A3 is delivered from the outlet section 43. At the level of the inlet section 41 of the casing 42, the curvature radius of the downstream inner surface of the outer wall 42a is less than the curvature radius of the upstream inner surface 42a of the outer wall.
