Abstract:
An anomaly detecting system for stopping an air pump in the event of an anomaly in an air-massager, to enhance the safety of the air-massager being used. A control unit (8) for controlling the air pump (6) and valves (V1 - V4) of the air-massager includes a timer (10) for measuring the time, and a pressure sensor (9) for measuring the pressure of a compressed air passage (16). By using the pressure sensor and the timer, the control unit measures the pressure of the compressed air from the air pump (6) at each of operation steps from the power ON (at Step S11) to the end (at Step S25) of the use of the air-massager, thereby to perform an anomaly decision from the measurement result. If the anomaly decision is made, the control unit decides that at least one of the pressure sensor (9), the air pump (6), the valves (V1 - V4) and the pressure sensor passage (16) is abnormal, and shifts the operation mode to an anomaly one to stop the air pump and close the valves.
