Abstract:
An air mat device formed to be comfortable to sleep by regulating a pressure through
the accurate and precise detection of pressure distribution even if the pressure
is concentrated thereon. The air mat device includes a sensor for detecting the
distribution of the pressure applied to an elastic sheet by the light emitting
parts and the light receiving parts of optical fibers uniformly distributed
in the elastic sheet. The air mat device controls the amount of a gas filled in an
air mat based on the pressure distribution detected by the sensor. The sensor
can be installed on the upper part of the air mat of the air mat device.
