Abstract:
Provided is an air mattress that can prevent or reduce bedsores which can occur on various body parts according to the position or build of a user's body. This air mattress is provided with a plurality of air cells that includes a plurality of stacked air cells, each stacked air cell having a first cell which is formed from a sheet material comprising a flexible resin material and expands in a tubular shape by enclosing air therein, and second and third cells which are formed from a sheet material comprising a flexible resin material and expand in a tubular shape by enclosing air therein, the second and third cells being attached, so as to be parallel with and adjacent to the first cell, to a region of the outer peripheral surface of the first cell that is to be the top surface of the air mattress. In at least a portion of the air mattress, the plurality of stacked air cells is arranged in parallel with the longitudinal direction of the air mattress.
