Abstract:
An air pump provided with an air tank (20) for temporarily containing air from a pump unit (12) and discharging the air from the air tank. The air tank has a tank body provided with: a top wall (40) on which a pump unit is mounted; a peripheral wall (42) extending downward from the top wall; and a downwardly facing hole, and the air tank also has a metallic bottom wall member (46) made to be in contact with the bottom surface of the peripheral wall and mounted so as to seal the opening of the tank body. Bolts are passed through the metallic bottom wall member and the metallic portion of the pump unit and are tightened to connect and fix the pump unit and the air tank together.
