Abstract:
An air purification apparatus (1) comprises a photocatalyst filter (51, 52, 53) including a photocatalyst and disposed in the interior of a casing (10) defining a flow passage (100) for air, and a light source device (54) for illuminating the photocatalyst filter with light that activates the photocatalyst. The air purification apparatus comprises a prefilter (40) disposed upstream of the photocatalyst filter in the interior of the casing for removing contaminants, and a support member (62) supporting the prefilter from below. The support member is arranged so as to extend from the inner wall side of the casing towards the interior of the casing. The light source device includes an electrical component (55, 56) that is powered with electrical power, and at least the electrical component therein is arranged below the support member.
