Abstract:
In the present invention, provided in a main body case (1) are the following: an air duct (4) for enabling communication between an air intake (2) and an air outlet (3); and a blower section (5) for causing air to flow through the air duct (4) from the air intake (2) and toward the air outlet (3). Also provided are: a rotatable tubular air cleaning filter (6) that is provided within the air duct (4) so as to obstruct the air duct (4); a drive unit (16) for causing the air cleaning filter to rotate; and a cistern (7) in which a lower section of the air cleaning filter (6) can be immersed in water. The air cleaning filter (6) contains at least two fiber substrates (9) having different thicknesses of fibers that form openings, one being a main fiber substrate (10)in which the fibers thereof that form openings are thick and the other being a sub-fiber substrate (11) in which the fibers thereof that form openings are finer than those of the main fiber substrate. In addition, the main fiber substrate (10) is arranged further upstream within the air duct (4) than the sub-fiber substrate (11).
