Abstract:
Provided is an air purification device which stably maintains the effectiveness in removing chemical substances such as formaldehyde over a long period. The air purification device is equipped with an air filter and a deodorizing filter. The air filter is formed by pleating a sheet filter material which comprises a substrate layer and a fiber layer. The substrate layer supports the filter shape. The fiber layer traps particles. The air filter further includes, in the substrate layer, an adsorbent containing an amine compound. In addition, the deodorizing filter is disposed on the front face of the air filter in terms of the air flow path. The air purification device is configured such that air flowing into the device passes through the air filter after passing through the deodorizing filter.
