Abstract:
An air purification device 1 comprises: a first filter 41 that is provided in the air flow path between an intake port 7 and an outlet port 8; a second filter 51 that is provided in the flow path upstream of the first filter 41 with a predetermined gap interposed therebetween; a first light source 42 that is provided in the gap and irradiates the surfaces of the first filter 41 and the second filter 51 facing each other with ultraviolet light; and a second light source 52 that irradiates the surface of the second filter 51 on the reverse side from the surface that is irradiated with ultraviolet light by the first light source 42, with ultraviolet light having a wavelength shorter than that of the ultraviolet light irradiated from the first light source 42. The first filter 41 and/or the second filter 51 holds a member that decomposes organic matter in response to the ultraviolet light irradiated by the first light source 42.
