Abstract:
Disclosed is an air purifier able to maintain the normal state of drive of a disk-shaped humidification filter by controlling the state of rotation of the humidification filter. The air purifier comprises: a water tank which accommodates water on the inside and is provided with a rotational shaft to which the humidification filter is attached; a drive source which is connected to the rotational shaft and causes the rotational shaft to rotate; a detection unit which is provided on the water tank so as to detect the state of drive of the humidification filter; and a control unit which is connected to the detection unit and the drive source and controls the state of drive of the drive source in accordance with a signal from the detection unit. The air purifier can maintain the normal state of drive of the humidification filter by using a stepping motor and the control unit in order to vary the state of rotation of the humidification filter and thereby remove extraneous material when the humidification filter is rotating abnormally due to extraneous material.
