Abstract:
Disclosed is an air purifier which can effectively purify air for a long time without increasing the capacity of a built-in power supply and that of an external power supply. A control unit (51) determines, by means of a power supply detection circuit (57), whether the external power supply is supplying power or not. The control unit (51) controls an ion generator drive circuit (53) and a fan motor drive circuit (54) to perform operations that correspond to the determination. For instance, in the case where the external power supply is supplying power, continuous operation is performed, and in the case wherein the external power supply is not supplying power, intermittent operation is performed.
