Abstract:
Provided is an air purifier that takes up little installation space, creates a fast air flow as necessary, and can efficiently purify air. The air purifier is provided with a casing 1, an intake opening 3, outlet openings 4A, 4B, air ducts 5A, 5B, a communication hole 6, blowers 7A, 7B, movable louvers 9A, 9B, a control device 23, and the like. The control device 23 closes off or narrows air duct 5B using movable louver 9B when performing air speed increase control. In this manner, air flowing through air duct 5B is caused to flow into air duct 5A through the communication hole 6, allowing air flow to be present predominantly in air duct 5A. Thus, compared to a case in which the communication hole 6 is not present, it is possible to greatly reduce the flow path area of air duct 5B and to efficiently increase the air speed.
