Abstract:
Provided is an air purifier that can demonstrate sufficient air purifying capacity and circulate air efficiently. An air purifier 1 comprises a casing 2, an inlet 4, an outlet 5, a blower 6, a purifier 8, a movable louver 9, a horizontal rotating mechanism 15, a sensor unit 21, a controlling device 23, and the like. The controlling device 23 detects the temperature difference between the floor and ceiling by way of an infrared sensor 40 of the sensor unit 21. In addition, when the temperature difference between the floor and the ceiling is greater than a predetermined reference value, the air flow blowing obliquely upward is increased in comparison to when the temperature difference is smaller than the reference value. Thus, the air near the ceiling is stirred and air can be efficiently circulated between the ceiling and the floor.
