Abstract:
An air purifier is provided with: a case (110) having defined therein a suction section (113), a discharge section (114), and a hollow section which is in communication with both the suction section (113) and the discharge section (114); a fan; a motor (130) mounted to the case (110) and driving the fan; and a filter (140) installed at the suction section (113). The case (110) has a partition wall (116) extending at the boundary between the suction section (113) and the hollow section in the direction intersecting the direction of the rotation axis of the fan. The partition wall (116) has an opening (117) for connecting the suction section (113) and the hollow section, and also has a mounting section (118) on which the motor (130) is mounted. The mounting section (118) extends from the rotation axis side of the fan to a position facing the outer peripheral section of the fan, thereby blocking air flow and preventing air from flowing into the hollow section. The filter (140) is located outside the outer periphery of the motor (130).
