Abstract:
The present invention improves the efficiency of air removal. When a check valve 2206 is removed from the bottom wall portion 16 of a cap fitting 14 of a pneumatic fender 10, a check valve insertion hole 2210 is exposed in the bottom wall portion 16. A plurality of positioning rods 28 on an air removal jig 24 are inserted into the inner peripheral section 1204 of an elastic bag body 12, and the outer peripheral surfaces 2802 of the plurality of positioning rods 28 are brought into contact with the inner peripheral section 1204 in an elastic manner. A state in which one side surface 2602 of a substrate portion 26 is in contact with an annular portion 1202 of the elastic bag body 12 in an elastic manner is maintained by the elastic force of the portions of the inner peripheral section 1204 of the elastic bag body 12 that are compressed by the outer peripheral surfaces 2802 of the plurality of positioning rods 28. A vacuum hose 2 is connected to a male thread member 3002 via an on-off valve 4, and air in the interior of the elastic bag body 12 is removed through the vacuum hose 2, on-off valve 4, male thread member 3002, and check valve insertion hole 2210 by actuating a vacuum pump.
