Abstract:
Provided is an air resistance reduction structure for a vehicle in which, in a state in which a pneumatic tire (1) is mounted on a vehicle and the axis of rotation (P) of the pneumatic tire is arranged so that the vehicle (100) advances linearly, a protrusion (101b) is provided on the tire housing side and protrudes from the inner wall surface (101a) of the tire housing toward the axis-of-rotation side within the range of the vehicle outer side from the edge of the tire cross-section width (S) that is the vehicle inner side of the pneumatic tire, and a plurality of protruding sections and/or recessed sections are provided to at least one tire side section (11) on the pneumatic tire side. When the maximum distance of the protruding section from the surface of the tire side section is denoted by Hp, the maximum distance of the recessed section from the surface of the tire side section is denoted by Hd, and the tire cross-section width of the pneumatic tire is denoted by S, the ranges 0.005 ≤ Hp/S ≤ 0.05 and/or 0.001 ≤ Hd/S ≤ 0.01 are satisfied.
