Abstract:
Provided is an air spring for a railroad car, improved by redesigning the structure of the portion where rubber or other elastic material and a lower support part are adjacent to each other, so as to prevent the problem of "adhesive peeling" in which the bottom end part of the elastic material peels from the lower support part, and to reduce or eliminate the incidence of defects. To achieve this purpose, the air spring for a railroad car comprises an air spring part formed by providing a rubber diaphragm extending between an upper support part on the vehicle body side and an intermediate support part (2) below the upper support part, and an elastic mechanism formed by interposing a rubber block (5) in the vertical space between the intermediate support part (2) and a truck-side lower support part (4) below the intermediate support part; wherein the end part of the rubber block (5) adjacent to the lower support part (4) is formed as an expanded-end part (5A), the diameter of which in the vertical direction increases toward the lower support part (4); the external peripheral part of the rubber block is fitted into and bonded in an annular recessed groove (12) formed in the lower support part (4); and an annular bottom (12A) of the annular recessed groove (12) is configured as an annular tapered bottom (12a) inclined so that the height position thereof lowers toward the radial outside.
