Abstract:
Provided is an air spring which can be displaced a large amount in the horizontal direction when deflated and which enables the vehicle to travel over a long period of time even with the air spring deflated. Specifically, provided is an air spring provided with: an upper surface plate (1); a lower surface plate (2); a tube-shaped flexible member (3) disposed between the upper surface plate (1) and the lower surface plate (2); a deflation stopper section (5) protruding upward from the lower surface plate (2) and supporting the upper surface plate (1) when the air spring is deflated; and a recess (7) formed in the center of the lower surface of the upper surface plate (1) and seated on the deflation stopper section (5) when the air spring is deflated. The air spring is characterized in that the upper end (3a) of the flexible member (3) is attached to the upper surface plate (1) to a position outside the recess (7) in the radial direction, the lower end (3b) of the flexible member (3) is attached to the lower surface plate (2) to a position outside the deflation stopper section (5) in the radial direction, and the deflation stopper section (5) is formed to a height which does not cause contact between the upper end (3a) and lower end (3b) of the flexible member (3) when the upper surface plate (1) and the lower surface plate (2) are displaced relative to each other in the horizontal direction when the air spring is deflated.
