Abstract:
Provided are an air supply system and method used for a high-rise building; the high-rise building has a plurality of stories, each story being provided with a stairwell (4) and the stories being connected by means of the stairwells (4); the air supply system comprises a plurality of air supply vents (1); the air supply vents (1) are arranged at equal intervals on different stairwells (4) so as to supply air to the corresponding stairwells (4). The area of the air supply vents (1) are different, such that the air volume delivered to the passageways (4) by means of the air supply vents (1) is the same. The air supply system and its method of supplying air are such that the entire stairwell is uniformly pressurized, and use a smaller volume of air to block smoke from entering the building floors while also preventing the evacuation doors from being difficult to open at certain locations because of overpressure.
