An air tap structure for a vacuum compression bag. The structure comprises a base (1), an air stopper cavity (11) provided within the base (1), and an air inlet (12) of the cavity provided at a bottom portion of the air stopper cavity (11). An air inlet channel (16) communicating with the air inlet (12) is provided at a bottom portion of the base (1). An air stopper (2) vertically movable in the air stopper cavity (11) is provided within the same, and is fitted to the air inlet (12) to open or seal the air inlet (12). The air stopper cavity (11) has a cavity wall (10) provided along a circumferential direction thereof. A top portion of the base (1) is provided with a cover member (3) vertically movable along the cavity wall (10) to hold down or release the air stopper (2). A top portion of the cover member (3) has a vent opening (31). A connection structure (4) is provided between a side portion of the cover member (3) and the cavity wall (10) to provide upper position limiting and fastening and lower position limiting and fastening. A top pressing member (32) facing the air stopper (2) is provided on the cover member (3) to press the air stopper (2) from the top. The top pressing member (32) has a diameter less than that of the air inlet (12). The air stopper provides a tight air seal to the air inlet, thereby ensuring a hermetic seal of the bag.
