The present invention relates to an air treatment method and an apparatus using the method. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method recovering heat from fresh air and an apparatus using the method. The method includes some fresh air ducts separated from some exhaust ducts by some duct plates. The duct plates are disposed with a liquid soakage layer at the side of the exhaust duct. When cooling, the fresh air exchanges heat with the exhaust air by minim liquid flow in the liquid soakage layer or over the surface. When heating adds or not an antifreeze liquid into the liquid soakage layer, and the fresh air exchanges heat with the exhaust air through a temperature difference between the fresh air duct and the exhaust duct. The apparatus of the present invention some air duct plates, a fresh air inlet, a fresh air outlet, an exhaust inlet, an exhaust outlet, some fresh air ducts, some exhaust ducts, and a liquid inlet and a liquid distributing structure. The liquid inlet connects with the liquid distributing structure, the air duct plate is disposed with a liquid soakage layer at least on one side facing the exhaust duct. The advantages of the method of the present invention are high heat recovery coefficient, wide applicability. The advantages of the apparatus are simple structure, small size, low cost, high heat recovery coefficient, and the apparatus can be used under low temperature environment directly.
