Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an airbag apparatus capable of quick deployment and being mounted to the body of an existing vehicle. [Solution] An airbag apparatus (20) is characterized by including an airbag (10) for covering at least part of a hood (4) or a windshield (6) outside a vehicle at the time of deployment, a gas generator (11) for injecting gas into the airbag (10), a cover bottom member (21) that accommodates the airbag (10) before inflation and the gas generator (11), a cover lid member (21) having a cover lid (22a) that covers the cover bottom member (21) accommodating the airbag (10), and a cowl cover (28) mounted to the cover lid (22a) between the hood (4) and the windshield (6).
