Abstract:
A vehicle airbag having a variable vent function is provided. The airbag comprises: an airbag cushion inflated and deployed between a windshield and an instrument panel of a vehicle, and inflated and deployed between the instrument panel and a passenger; a vent hole formed on the airbag cushion so as to discharge inflation fluid from the airbag cushion, and formed to be long in one direction so as to be opened by pressure from the windshield and the instrument panel during the initial deployment of the airbag cushion; and a tether for shielding the vent hole by tension when the airbag cushion is fully deployed.
